Dalan Olive Oil Soap and Personal Care

Dalan is an Izmir soap maker founded in the nineteen forties and one of the last large producers still boiling traditional olive oil soap. The range here covers classic green olive oil bars, daphne laurel soap, goat milk, sulphur, black cumin, rose and argan variants, liquid hand washes, shampoos and shaving products. Because these bars are made without synthetic detergent, they rinse away completely and suit skin that reacts to foaming body washes.

Store bars unwrapped in a dry cupboard, where they continue to cure and harden, and use a draining dish in the bathroom so the bar never sits in water. Olive oil soap produces a low, creamy lather rather than a foam; that is normal and is a sign there is no added detergent in the formula.
