Asperox is a Turkish cleaning brand best known for its heavy duty limescale and rust removers, sold under the Blue Power and Yellow Power names. These are the products people turn to when ordinary bathroom spray has stopped working: hard water scale around taps, rust staining in sinks and toilets, and mineral build up on tiles and shower screens. The formulas are acidic and fast acting, which is why a short contact time achieves what an hour of scrubbing with a general cleaner will not.
Ventilate the room, wear gloves, and never combine an acidic limescale remover with bleach, since the two react to release chlorine gas. Apply, leave for the stated contact time, then rinse thoroughly with plenty of water. Test first on natural stone, enamel and coloured grout, all of which acids can etch.
